Creative menu, fantastic food. This was the best meal I had in 8 days traveling around Scotland.
The appearance of the restaurant makes you doubt the quality of the food a little bit. But don't be misguided, the kitchen is surprisingly good. The appetizer and dessert platters are a nice way have a nice tasteful treat for the tongue, while the main courses are all well flavored and portioned. Staff is friendly and waiting times are average. Only the chairs were a bit uncomfortable and again, the decoration looks a bit cheesy/unappealing. But this might be personal taste.
Stopped for lunch here on our way to the hydro. We got a nice spot sitting out by the river, food was excellent as was the service.
Nice pub inside and outside area. Good food, recommend the fish finger sandwich (fancy fish goujons). Recommend a stop here, very picturesque.
Had lunch in the riverside bar and restaurant yesterday as a treat for my mother-in-law and we were not dissapointed...staff were polite and friendly service was excellant and the food fresh hot and delicious....will definitely be back again.
