Booked a holiday in South Africa with Zara's Planet.... it was a truly great experience. Will travel again with ZP

We went on a safari to Motswiri in Botswana. I went with my 17 year old , horse riding daughter and my partner who loves nature but does not ride horses. While we went riding through the bush on wonderful well cared for horses, he headed to the bush with 007 - James was a great guide and they seemed to be seeing all the big game animals from the comfort of the jeep, while we got to ride right up close to the wild animals, all the while being kept safe by our 2 guides. The food was fantastic, each evening was like a dinner party. We did not know the other people on our group before the holiday but we all shared an interest in horses, so conversation was lively over good food and plenty of drink. We had amazing starry nights, and one night we had dinner out in the bush. The staff at the camp set up a magical dinner by a watering hole and brought all the food to us. On our last night the Lions made a kill, so there was great excitement in the morning to get out to see the lions and all the other animals feasting on the dead buffalo. Early another morning we saw the elephants crossing the water just outside out tents - amazing. Our accommodation was in tents, but it was pure luxury, with a full size bed and two joining rooms with ensuite.

A memory of my fabulous horse riding adventure in Patogonia, Chile just popped up on my screen. I joined a seven-day ride in the remote and beautiful wilderness of Torres del Paine National Park amidst some of the most awe-inspiring scenery in the world. I will never forget galloping across the pampas, taking a dip in a glacier lake (freezing but refreshing after a seven hour ride!), camping in fields of daisys and drinking pisco sours while gazing at the stunning glaciers. Amazing food was produced every night in the wilderness by our hosts. I dont know how they did it. Finally, the beautiful Criollo horses were wonderful and my horse - the most surefooted, easy-going horse on the planet. Thank you, Zaras Planet, for a wonderful memory.

As a novice rider I found Zara's planet really matched me with the perfect riding holiday in Mexico. I was able to advance my riding while getting plenty of time to pursue other pleasures. Other more experienced riders were able to get as much riding as they wanted so it was a win win for the whole party. The accommodation was fab and the food will never be forgotten. Rancho Las Cascadas in Mexico was a perfect fit for me and my friends as it catered for all of our needs. Thank you Zara's Planet
